Hi, I have dyed black hair and would like to dye parts of it pink and blue.?

To do so, do I have to bleach it? Iv bleached my hair before and it turned out copper, if I want to bleach it should i just keep bleaching over the hair till it turns blonde? And to get the bright pink/blue/green, can i just directly dye my hair with the dye or do I need to bleach it?

omg i did the exact same thing!!! ok well u should go to a salon n have them do it for you...cause my hair was really dark n they bleached some parts until it was a blondish color..n i made mine pink n purple n the color lasted much longer and was much more vibrant when it was done in the salon rather than when i redid it myself later...u do need to bleach it or the color wont pick up n show =)

To achieve a bright colour you have to bleach it again.

Its like paint really... like how bright colours will really stand out against a white wall instead of a black one.
