You need to use a heat resistant primer a few coats may be necessary if it bleeds thru. I suggest Killz (avialable at Home Depot) but dont know if they offer heat resistant products.

Try the Mr. Clean Magic Erase Bar. It will take marker and pen off of walls, counter tops and even my butcher block wood dinning room table. It might work.
